Pricilia Marah

Pricilia Marah is a gender development practitioner, entrepreneur, and women’s rights advocate dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls across Sierra Leone.

She is the Founder of PEEVA JEWELS, a jewelry brand committed to making elegant, high-quality, and affordable accessories accessible to women. Through her business, she promotes confidence, self-expression, and economic empowerment.

Pricilia currently serves as the Head of Media and Reporting at Girls Alliance Incorporation (GAI), where she leads media and communications efforts, documents organizational impact, and supports advocacy campaigns that address gender inequality, challenge harmful social norms, and promote the rights and well-being of women and girls.

Her commitment to gender justice is reflected in her research and community engagement. She served as a Research Assistant on a Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) study conducted across eight districts in Sierra Leone by the Rainbow Initiative in collaboration with the Institute of Gender Research and Documentation (IGRD), Fourah Bay College. The research examined barriers preventing survivors from reporting SGBV cases and contributed to strengthening support systems for women and girls.

Pricilia also completed an internship with the Youth Movement for Sustainable Development Sierra Leone (YoMSuD-SL) in Bo District, where she supported community development initiatives focused on menstrual health and girls’ education. As part of the project, she helped establish sanitary pad box kits in five schools, promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and enabling girls to attend school with dignity, confidence, and without interruption during their menstrual cycles.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Gender and Development Studies from the Institute of Gender Research and Documentation, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

Passionate about social impact, research, entrepreneurship, and community development, Pricilia continues to use her expertise, leadership, and creativity to promote women’s empowerment, advance gender equality, and inspire positive change within her community and beyond.
