Our Thematic Area

SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE
HEALTH AND RIGHTS (SRHR)

Promoting access to comprehensive sexuality education, menstrual health and hygiene management, adolescent-friendly health services and the protection of the sexual and reproductive rights of girls and young women.

GENDER EQUALITY
AND GIRLS’ RIGHTS

Advocacy

W advancing equal opportunities, dignity, protection, and participation for girls and young women while challenging harmful gender norms and discrimination.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOOD SKILLS

We equip girls and young women with practical vocational, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and livelihood skills that can help them become more economically independent. Through skills training and opportunities for self-employment, we support young women to build sustainable livelihoods and improve their economic well-being.

MENTORSHIP, LEADERSHIP, EDUCATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING

We invest in the personal and leadership development of girls and young women through mentorship, education, training, and capacity-building programmes. We help participants build confidence, develop leadership skills, strengthen their knowledge, and take active roles in their schools, communities, and society.

ENVIRONMENTAL & CLIMATE JUSTICE

We engage girls and young people in understanding and responding to environmental and climate challenges. Our work promotes environmental conservation, climate education, sustainable practices, and youth-led climate action while highlighting how climate change can affect girls’ health, education, safety, livelihoods, and overall well-being. We believe girls should have a voice in shaping climate solutions and building safer, greener, and more resilient communities.

Events

Every GAI event is designed to educate, inspire, and empower girls and young women. From leadership conferences and community outreach to skills training and advocacy campaigns, our events create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and lasting impact.
