16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2025: Solidarity Walk to End Digital Violence

As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2025, Girls Alliance Incorporation (GAI), in partnership with the She-Empowerment League, Youth Action Movement, Plan International Sierra Leone, and Save the Children International Sierra Leone, organized a Solidarity Walk to raise awareness of digital violence against women and girls.

The campaign highlighted the growing threat of online harassment, cyberbullying, image-based abuse, online threats, and other forms of technology-facilitated gender-based violence that continue to undermine the safety, dignity, and participation of women and girls in digital spaces.

Bringing together young people, civil society organizations, community members, and development partners, the walk served as a powerful platform to promote collective action and advocate for safer, more inclusive, and respectful online environments where women and girls can learn, engage, and express themselves without fear of abuse.
